Coronavirus: What to eat to improve your immune system?

The best way to prevent corona virus is to increase the resistance of the body so that it can destroy this strange virus right from the moment it enters the body as well as when it has caused the disease.

The disease of coronary pneumonia caused by new strain is very serious, but there is no specific medicine for the virus, no vaccine (vaccine) to prevent it. Therefore, the best way to prevent is to increase the body’s resistance to be able to destroy this strange virus right from entering the body as well as when it has  caused the disease.

Helps strengthen the body mainly by increasing vitamin C, eating foods containing high levels of vitamin C. Eating foods that help increase the body’s resistance:

1. Citrus fruits:

Vitamin C is a nutrient that boosts the body’s immune system because this nutrient helps increase the production of white blood cells in the blood. However, the human body cannot produce or synthesize vitamin C itself, but needs to be provided through foods to maintain health. Citrus fruits like grapefruit, oranges, lemons, etc. are good sources of vitamin C.

2. Broccoli:

A type of food that contains lots of healthy vitamins and minerals, including: vitamins A, C, E, fiber and other antioxidants. This is one of the healthy vegetables, can be included in the diet every day.

3. Garlic:

According to medical studies, garlic consumption can help reduce blood pressure and slow the hardening of the arteries. In addition, garlic also contains a lot of vitamin C, which enhances the body’s resistance, thereby helping to improve skin resistance.

4. Ginger:

A food that helps strengthen the immune system. In addition, ginger helps reduce inflammation, reduce pain, help prevent and treat other inflammatory  diseases.

5. Turmeric:

Has anti-inflammatory effect in many remedies. In addition, the high curcumin content in turmeric also helps fight the flu.

6. Spinach:

Spinach is on the list of foods that help increase resistance because this vegetable is not only rich in vitamin C but also contains lots of antioxidants and beta carotene. These are substances that help to increase the anti-inflammatory ability of the immune system and increase the body’s resistance, thereby increasing skin resistance.

7. Red bell peppers:

In addition to citrus fruits, bell peppers are also a very good source of vitamin C. Even the amount of vitamin C in red bell peppers is more than twice the amount of vitamin C in citrus fruits.

Not only that, bell peppers are also rich in beta carotene, a nutrient that not only enhances the body’s immune system, but also increases the skin’s natural resistance – the body’s special armor that helps fight off harmful agents, especially pathogenic  bacteria.

8. Papaya:

Also a fruit that is high in vitamin C. According to many studies, this fruit contains up to 224% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin C.
Not only that, papaya also contains papain, a digestive enzyme that has anti-inflammatory effects. In addition, this is also a source of potassium, vitamin B and folic acid, nutrients that play a very important role in strengthening the  immune system for the body.

9. Shellfish:

The most popular food group when looking for ways to boost the immune system because they often contain lots of zinc. Zinc is the micronutrients that our body desperately needs for immune cells to function optimally.

Some shellfish that contain a lot of zinc that you should add to your diet are crabs, shellfish, lobsters, and oysters … Although zinc is very important, it should only be added in moderate amounts daily  .

In parallel with the eating of the above-mentioned foods, it is necessary to take preventive measures recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health.
